Information sessions for parents

Our sessions for parents help to develop understanding around specific areas of difficulty and provide practical strategies that can be used at home to support children with learning, and minimise the impact of dyslexia.

Different sessions focus on specific areas so that only those sessions necessary to you or of interest have to be attended, and our workshops are open to parents, carers and anyone else who feels they would like to find out more about how to help deal with dyslexia.

Some areas workshops focus on are: reading, spelling, writing, study skills, mind mapping, homework, memory, organisation and confidence building.

The sessions also enable parents to build networks with others in similar situations to themselves, so that strategies and ideas can be shared long after the session has finished.

Sessions are free and held in Newport – for more information on upcoming workshops please contact us.
